Some Billabong happenings...

The driver's seat is the most important spot in the train - somehow even a two-year-old senses that. Niall attempts to cajole Manuel over to a bright green passenger car, complete with swinging door but Manuel isn't budging. Best friends share everything - supposedly - but an engineer's seat just has room for one. "DINGDONGDINGDONG!" Manuel shouts loudly warning the others of an incoming train and the boxes begin to shake as the train speeds up. Now Niall is shouting too, "My turn!" Their teacher Daniel comes over and taps the face of the watch. "Manuel, Niall have you seen my watch? Let's check the time." Both boys quiet down as Daniel bends down to give them a better view of the watch. "You see the big hand is on the six now." Both boys nod seriously. "Now when the big hand reaches the eight Manuel, then it's time for Niall to take a turn. Do you think that's a good idea?" Manuel shouts, "Yeah!!" He climbs back into the driver's seat, but after a few minutes looks around for Niall. "Hey, Niall.  It's your turn!"

Lisa tosses a picnic blanket into the Bollerwagen while her group of kids settles down onto the benches and then shouts, "Okay, everyone hands up!" Arms shoot into the air as the safety bar comes down. It's almost like they are practicing for a ride on the roller coaster. Sebastian, sitting in the front, has neatly clasped his hands in front of him and smiles at the front door as if he could open with with sheer will. He turns quickly back to Lisa, "The ball?" Lisa smiles, "Don't worry Sebastian, we've got it. Would you like to be responsible for carrying it to the playground?" She takes a ball out of a large bag and places it in his lap. The older kids file out in twos and lead the way, their rucksacks packed with a lunch bouncing up and down. The door to outside finally swings open and  sunshine pours in. Today is a hot one, so off to the playground for a full day of playing with the water pump, games and a picnic.
